Local theatre company TS Theatre Productions will perform the premier of new comedy drama play Four Sunsets at the Arts Centre in September.

The play, written by Company Director Peter Hynds, follows four female friends on a trip to Bali, and the highs and lows they experience together.

White sands, crystal clear waters and stunning sunsets are on the horizon for four friends who seek out paradise for the holiday of a lifetime.

As the prospect of returning to reality starts to dawn, the girls find their world turned brutally upside-down and their strength and loyalty tested beyond measure.

TS Theatre was formed in 2011 with one rule: if you have a good idea then pick it up and run with it as quickly as possible.

Honouring this, TS have staged a massive fifteen productions in the last five years. The company performed Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream in 2012 at the invitation of the RSC and in the same year sold out Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre with One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest.

“TS perform uncompromising theatre for modern times, relishing challenging themselves as much as the audience. Go and see whatever they come up with next. It may creep you out or shock you. But it will also make you think. And that is good art.”- Gig Monkey 2014
Peter Hynds trained at ArtsEd Performing Arts School in London. His first original play, Choice, has been performed in Swindon, London and Bristol, while his second piece, #theorder completed a nationwide tour in 2014 and is due to be adapted for film later this year.

Reviews state that Peter is “one to watch”. His writing is influenced by current events that audiences can relate to and his style is bold, powerful and raw.

Rehearsals with the four-strong local cast are well underway, and the company hope to produce one of their most powerful pieces of theatre to date.

Four Sunsets is at Swindon Arts Centre on Sat 17 September. For more information and to book tickets, visit swindontheatres.co.uk or call Ticket Office on 01793 524481.
