The beautifully illustrated story The Green Ship by Quentin Blake is brought to life this Spring in an epic 60-day tour of 50 library venues, calling in at Swindon Libraries!

The Green Ship is a beautifully illustrated, heart-warming story by the first Children’s Laureate Sir Quentin Blake. Librarian Theatre’s production of the book is its first ever stage adaptation.

A magical, family friendly hour-long play about childhood, friendship and the power of the imagination; the project is supported by Arts Council England funding and directed by Alexander Lass.

Whilst away from home on a family holiday, two young siblings climb over a neighbour’s wall into a large garden. They discover a huge ship made out of trees and bushes…

“When a rolled-up newspaper can be a telescope, and a garden fork could be a trident, anything is possible…”
