Swindon boss Alun Rossiter insists they hold no fear as they head to Wimborne Road to take on Poole on Wednesday (7.30).
The Dorset giants boast former Robins’ stars Peter Kildemand and Josh Grajczonek in their ranks after a winter revamp of their side.
But Rossiter reckons there is no reason to be intimidated by the Pirates as his CFS Filtration Robins search for their first SGB Premiership points.
Rossiter said: “Matt (Ford) has made some shrewd signings as he usually does, especially coming off a year in which they came up short by their high standards.
“But I certainly won’t say we’re intimidated by that. I’m happy with my side, and I’m sure my side can do well.”
Rossiter has opted to change his riding order for the meeting, switching Adam Ellis into the No.4 spot with David Bellego moving to No.2.
He explained: “I’ve given the riding order a tweak, I just feel sometimes it’s worth trying something different and if it doesn’t work then we can always revert back. I was going to do it for Wolverhampton but didn’t get chance because of the rain-off, so we’ll go with it here.
”I feel Adam could be in for a big season and rather than doing the same thing all the time, sometimes you have to make horses for courses, and we’ll see how it turns out.”
