Swindon are urging fans to turn out in force for tonight’s KO Cup clash with Rye House at the Abbey (7.30pm) – as they look to build a first leg lead.
The club can confirm the match is NOT on television and is a re-arranged fixture, having previously fallen victim to bad weather over Easter.
Club chairman Terry Russell said: “We have taken a few enquiries this morning asking if the meeting is being televised, and the simple answer is that it’s not.
“The reason it’s taking place on a Monday is that it’s a re-arranged fixture and this is one of British Speedway’s fixed race-nights in the top league, which enables us to run with full-strength teams.
“Alun Rossiter and the boys appreciate everyone’s support, and we hope to see everyone down at the Abbey later as it’s important to build a decent lead to take to Rye House.
