Swindon have been handed a boost on the eve of the new season with CFS Filtration coming on board as title sponsors.
The South Coast based company are specialists in critical Process Filtration, Water Filtration, Air Filtration, Fuel and Lube, Liquid filtration equipment, and HVAC filtration.
They are also no strangers to speedway having joined the sponsorship ranks of the Robins at the start of 2017 and sponsored numerous riders such as Craig Cook, Kyle Newman and Adam Ellis.
Managing Director Derek Baker said: “Following a few years of sponsorship with another top flight team, we just felt we wanted to sponsor a different team and Swindon was the perfect place for us.
“The 2017 season was excellent. We were so well looked after in the Legends Lounge by Lee (Kilby) and the hospitality team, in fact we hadn’t been so welcomed at any other track before. Myself and Val felt a real part of the club right from the start.”
Director Steve Park and Commercial Manager Lee Kilby visited the CFS offices last week to pencil out the agreement.
“It was a productive and, in truth, easy and enjoyable meeting,” said Kilby. “I get on extremely well with Derek and Val, and we came up with the agreement details in a matter of minutes.
“Their enthusiasm for speedway shines through and their energy and passion for the sport is exactly what speedway needs more of. I am really looking forward to the new season with their involvement.”
Meanwhile, Kilby has paid tribute to 2017 title sponsors Carpets4Less after their role in a historic season.
He added: “We can’t thank them enough for their involvement in what was a historic season for the club. Carpets 4 Less main man Alan Alexander has a rich history supporting the Robins, and I know I can speak on behalf of everyone at the club when I say we were pleased to see him lead the team in our Championship year.
“We are pleased Carpets4Less are staying as club sponsors for the coming season. As with all our sponsors, their continued support is invaluable.”
