Sculptures return to Avebury Manor Garden

Sculptures return to Avebury Manor Garden

Over 80 works of art are to be displayed in the garden of Avebury Manor, in Wiltshire, from Saturday.

Visitors to the National Trust garden will be able to see a variety of pieces, including a stylised head in stone, wooden sculptures nestled within the borders, and glass flowers mixing with their real counterparts.

Due to its popularity last year, Hazel Barry-Scott, Senior Visitor Experience Officer at Avebury decided to run the event again with a varied range of artistic styles.

‘The sculptures look wonderful, they really complement the garden and add a different dimension as you explore each garden room,’ says Hazel. ‘Many of the artists are local and each has a unique style, so there’s something for everyone, from glassworks to bronzes, wood and ceramic – and all are for sale if you can’t resist the temptation.’

The exhibition will run from Saturday 26 August until Sunday 1 October and is free with entry to the manor and garden.
