Police appealing for help after North Swindon robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery which took place in North Swindon on Friday 11th August 2017.

At around 7pm, on a footpath which runs alongside Barlow Close, three males approached a teenager, punched him in the face and stole his bag which contained a mobile phone, cash and a bank card.

The three male suspects were on bicycles with their faces covered.

Investigating officer PC Chris Hughes said: “We are looking for information from anyone who may have heard or seen anything suspicious in this area at this time.

“The assault took place in an open area near to many houses; these offenders, with face coverings on, would look very out of place and therefore it is certainly possible that they have been seen by someone either committing this offence or leaving the area shortly after.

“This was a very frightening incident for the victim and came out of nowhere.

“Fortunately, he was not seriously hurt but did receive minor injuries to his face.”

If you can help with police enquiries please contact PC Chris Hughes on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
