Petrol prices cut by 2p per litre from tomorrow

Swindon motorists have been handed a bonus today with the announcement that Sainsbury’s and Tesco will be following Asda’s lead in cutting the cost of petrol and diesel by up to 2p per litre.

Asda was the first of the big supermarket to announce a price cut promising that drivers would not pay more than 111.7p per litre for fuel at any of its 308 filling stations, including the two Swindon locations from tomorrow.

The cheaper fuel prices are being driven by a dip in wholesale prices with oil dropping to $48 a barrel.
