Swindon look set to be without star man Jason Doyle for Thursday’s clash with Leicester at the Abbey.
The World Championship leader was taken to hospital for x-rays on his foot and ribs after crashing heavily in the opening race of their win at King’s Lynn on Wednesday night.
And team boss Alun Rossiter expects him to be out of action as they look to make it 10 straight wins on their return to home shale.
Said Rossiter: “I’d say he’s almost certainly going to be out for the rest of the week now which is a blow.
“We’ll be searching around for the best guest possible, but I’d like to think we’ll still be able to come out on top at home.
“We’re high on confidence at the moment, and although we know we can’t be complacent in what could be a tricky meeting we’ll be aiming for another three points.”
Leicester will arrive at the Abbey with a patched-up side, with former Swindon riders Scott Nicholls and Rohan Tungate guesting for Kim Nilsson and Kyle Newman whilst Thomas Jorgensen takes the place of Danny King.
Further team news will follow on Thursday as guests are finalised to cover for Doyle and injured reserve Zach Wajtknecht for the Robins.
