A blissful haven of calm and indulgence awaits festival-goers at the WOMAD Spa venue, with top of the range treatments from expert beauty and massage therapists, all day drop-in yoga classes, log-fired hot tubs, saunas, a Chakra bar and lots more.
With a gorgeous brand new spa yurt as the calming backdrop, spa ticket holders will have the chance to truly sit back and relax with wood-fired hot tubs and barrel saunas from Bathing Under The Sky, back by popular demand after an extremely successful inaugural year in 2017.
Brand new for 2018 is the all-day Yoga Sala, an oasis of well-being where flexible festival-goers can pop in at any time for a range of soothing activities including meditation, yoga, dancing and tea ceremonies. Whether it’s a quick downward dog in between music acts or a whole zen afternoon, WOMAD-ers can pick and choose how to maximise their chill time.
Also making its WOMAD debut is the deliciously healthy Chakra Bar; presented by Real Remedies, it provides festival-goers with mouth-watering treats such as botanical non-alcoholic cocktails, power tonics, turmeric lattes, fresh juices and chai teas – whether it’s energy, detox or little calm required.
To take a break from the rest of the festival fun, the WOMAD Spa garden is a mini paradise, with swinging hammocks to laze around in and comfy cushions to chill out on. There will be a myriad of massage treatments, manicures, pedicures and more. The dressing rooms and bathrooms will be brimming with hair products, dressing gowns, slippers, hairdryers and everything else to ensure that truly pampered feeling.
As if all this indulgence and luxury weren’t enough, the World of Wellbeing adjacent in its tranquil setting in the leafy arboretum has once again gathered some of the country’s top of the range therapists offering all kinds of relaxing and mindful treatments; from inversion therapy to meditation to shamanic healing, to gong baths and shiatsu, laughing yoga and new this year some creative crafting. What better way to relax the mind and keep the senses fully occupied than while making a traditional hunting bow or attending Mr Bens sewing workshops to design, create a pattern, cut and sew. Lots of fun and wholly satisfying for mind and body.
And included this year in the spa ticket is special access to the infamous Backstage Bar.
So whether it is meditation, making, music or a mojito, there is something for every kind of festival-goer at WOMAD’s World of Wellbeing and Spa.
