A romantic fantasy about a widow, Mrs Lucy Muir, who, after moving into an allegedly haunted house on the English seaside with her teenage daughter, is indeed met with the ghost of a sea captain who previously lived there! But when Mrs Muir refuses to leave or to be frightened by Captain Gregg’s presence, a strange and unexpected love develops between them…

Based on the 1945 novel by Josephine Leslie (who wrote under the pseudonym of R.A. Dick), and with music from Bernard Herrmann who would later compose the infamous score for Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, The Ghost and Mrs Muir is an otherworldly love story with charming performances that the whole family can enjoy.
