The World Cinema Season continues with period drama Frantz, showing at the Swindon Arts Centre this Wednesay 20th September at 7:45pm. Based loosely on Ernst Lubitsch’s 1963 drama Broken Lullaby, Frantz follows German woman Anna who’s mourning the loss of her lover after he is killed in World War I. But from an old friend of her late husband-to-be, Frenchman Adrien, Anna learns about their pre-war adventures, but it’s clear that Adrien is hiding a dark past.
