More than 150 parents and 100 children will be spreading Christmas cheer at this year’s Christmas Junior SYM Concert.
From steel pans to violins, clarinet choirs to brass ensembles, tomorrow’s concert at The Platform in Faringdon Road will see some children as young as three taking part in the festive fun.
This will be the final big event of the year put on by Swindon Music Service after a series of musical events which have taken place this week.
This included the Rock Schools Gigs on Monday and Tuesday which saw four year olds playing the drums as well as guitar and vocals from young adults.
The Senior Swindon Young Musicians also gathered on Wednesday to put on a concert which featured a guitar ensemble, clarinet choir and wind band.
Tomorrow’s concert will see all of the beginner, junior and intermediate groups of Swindon Music Service joining together to perform. There will be brass ensembles, ukulele groups, percussion and much more.
Lynn Hawkins who organises the event said: “I know this will be an amazing morning. It’s a real Christmas gift from all of us at SYM to the many parents and friends who support us throughout the year. It makes Christmas for me.”
