Two of Swindon’s local Police Community Support Officers (PCSO’s) are out and about this weekend offering support and advice to the local community.
PCSO Ross Clark will be at the Oxford Road Sainsbury’s on Friday 21st April between 6.30pm and 8.30pm and PCSO Shelley Gray will be at The Wyevale Garden Centre between 11am and 1pm on Sunday 23rd April.
With the recent spike in home burglaries in and around Swindon you will be able to ask for advice on keeping your home safe. You also have the opportunity to talk to them about one of their other priorities which is the Antisocial use of Motorcycles.
North Swindon Community Policing Teams current priorities are:
Burglaries – dwelling burglaries are a force priority and extra patrols are being completed in areas that have been targeted. A number of arrests have been made in connection with these offences.
Advice to the community is to make sure you lock doors and windows even if you are only out of rooms for a short time.
Antisocial use of Motorcycles – residents are continuing to be report problems with the use of motorcycles.
A number of enforcement techniques are being explored to reduce this and police are trying to work with outside agencies to create long term solutions and offer those responsible alternatives ways to use their bikes.
