Poetry and Cream Teas with Chrissy Williams

On 16th July Poetry Swindon and the Richard Jefferies Museum welcome poet Chrissy Williams & invite everyone to an Open Mic in the garden of the museum.

Chrissy is a poet and editor, and her first full poetry collection BEAR has just been published by Bloodaxe.

She grew up in Devon, “messing about with boats” and has  worked as an editor for a range of publishers, including on videogames magazines.She currently work as a comics editor, on various titles which include the New York Times bestselling The Wicked + The Divine.

She says, “I have combined my love of poetry with my work in comics by getting poets and artists to work together in new “poetry comics” collaborations. I recently edited the UK’s first book on poetry comics for Sidekick Books: Over the Line: An Introduction to Poetry Comics. ”

There will also be Green-Man Life-drawing.

Bring a poem you have written or favourite to share with a friendly audience or just attend and enjoy being around like minded literature fans.
