Broad Blunsdon Heights’ first resident proves just how desirable the development is, with the first home being snapped up by the site’s own sales advisor, Jayne Palmer and her husband Wayne.
Jayne has moved into the four bedroom ‘Hilmarton’ with Wayne and her son Charlie, 13 who attends Kingsdown School. Jayne has been the sales advisor at Broad Blunsdon Heights since the development launched in September and despite having no plans in moving from their former home in Stratton, she quickly realised the combination of location, design and ease of having a new-build home was an obvious choice.
Jayne said: “Before opening the Newland Homes sales office at Broad Blunsdon Heights we hadn’t even thought about moving, but when I started talking to prospective purchasers who were coming to look at the homes off-plan, I knew that buying a home here would be the right move for us.
“Previously we had a three bedroom home in Stratton. It was built in the ‘80s and although over the years we had done lots of work to it, and added on extensions, we would never have been able to get it up to the same standard as a new home. Just looking at the energy efficiency it became a no-brainer and looking at what we would have continued spending on the house getting it to be how we wanted it, pound for pound moving became much better value.
Moving house was also a breeze for Jayne as husband Wayne owns Kingsdown Removals. She continued: “Broad Blunsdon Heights is such a nice place to live. All the homes are detached and spaced out on good plot sizes so that they feel really private. The designs of the homes are really attractive and unique too, with huge windows which make the houses really light and airy.
“Our Hilmarton is great. It has a conservatory as part of the kitchen which makes the light flow through and four good-sized bedrooms with a galleried landing. The specification is of a very high standard too. Our flooring, tiles and turf all came as standard, as well as the ‘rainfall’ showers, Neff double oven with a slide and hide door and warming drawer, and electric double-garage doors. The only things we upgraded were chrome switches and sockets and Silestone quartz worktops.
“As the sales advisor here I’m privileged to be able to get to know my neighbours before they’ve moved in and I can see Broad Blunsdon Heights becoming a really nice community. It’s a small, exclusive development with easy access to the A419 and great links to the M4, London and Reading, as well as being in walking distance to the centre of Blunsdon village and Blunsdon House Hotel.”
Broad Blunsdon Heights is an exclusive development of three, four and five bedroom homes in the sought-after village of Broad Blunsdon. With 75% of the first releases already reserved, the second phase of homes have now been released for sale due to popular demand. Prices start from £330,000 for a three bedroom Hinton with garage and off-road parking.
